Organic Essential Oil

Essential Oils are volatile aromatic essences that give plants their characteristic scents.  Although named ‘oils’ they are not composed of lipids. They are concentrated nutrients from a plant that are extracted into liquid form. One drop of the oil can have a thousand times the healing power of the original plant it came from.

We include them in our skincare preparations not only for their scent, but also for their therapeutic and skin healing properties. One of the most challenging things was to come up with scents that not only smell gorgeous, but are also therapeutic and suited to the individual product. It is not as easy as throwing together a few essential oils.  They take time to synergise, and are also different when added to different products.  Most of our blends are made up of several individual oils.

Organic Extracts

Our extracts contain:

  • NO palm oil products
  • NO GM materials
  • NO preservatives

Extraction methods used:

  1. High osmotic pressure exerted by a vegetable glycerine that not allow micro-organisms to reproduce.
  2. A food grade supercritical CO2 extraction method that uses Carbon Dioxide as a solvent.

Both methods are environmentally friendly and non-toxic. Cooling rather than heating is also used, which means the composition and properties of the extracts are very well preserved. During extraction NO synthetic additives or processes are used.
